And I'll give you first hand experience to backup what the Oracle in this case said.

5G in the context of plans being marketed at PM is just that, marketing. All plans (3G, 4G, and 5G) have access to all networks, including 5G. PM may throttle 3G plans at 3Mbps, 4G plans at 100Mbps, and 5G at 250Mbps, but that does not mean those are max speeds for any of those networks. I've personally got upwards of 250Mbps on the 4G network with my 5G plan.

I personally get better speed on the 4G network than the 5G network (with a 5G plan). I've heard that the 5G bands have a harder time penetrating walls, so that may be my issue. Either way I get 5G speeds on the 4G network, so all is good for me. I previously suggested trying to connect to the 4G network to see if results improve.

Keep in mind most of them are probably given an employee benefit on Telus phone/service, so they likely don't have first hand experience with the PM brand.
