US/Canada 40GB plan.

Hello,

I just had a quick question about the 40GB US/Canada plan. I'm currently on the $60 grandfathered Canada/US plan with 8.5GB Canada and 2GB US talk/text.

The plan is pretty clear that the 40GB can be used at 5G speeds in both Canada and the US. It's also clear that calls and text can be placed TO the Canada/US.

However it isn't completely clear that calls/text can be placed FROM the US. Can someone confirm this please?

@Nermal3 Yes it’s a snow bird plan you can call the US from Canada or Canada from the US . And use talk text data in both countries no worries . And you get to keep your old rewards too . Just make sure when you go to the US you have data roaming turned on in your phone settings

I can confirm to you that calling and texting to Canada from US is possible. I have this plan, I was in Michigan last week and called and texted back to Ontario with no issues. I didn't have to change any settings, it was automatic. I live in Windsor On and was in Detroit Mi suburbs.

For clarification, data roaming on however it’s included so extra charges do not apply with this plan? Sorry wanted to double check this.

Correct. Data roaming on. Network mode auto connect which was T Mobile. No extra charges. With this plan I leave Data roaming on all the time now.

The existing $60 plan had features I didn't want to lose, so it's good to know that the new $50 5G plan will be excellent.
