Names missing from text messages after porting number to PM

New today to PM!! Just ported two phone numbers. One only shows phone numbers of old text messages and not the contact name. The other phone was fine. Both phones are galaxy S6. Thank you in advance.

Hi @TFC58!

Welcome to PM!

Double check your Contacts are loaded on the phone. Verify that you are signed into the Google account and in the Contacts app, you should see all your contacts.

Sim change may have for unexplainable reasons logged you out of Google on one of the devices.

@TFC58 even if you were using a totally different number (no port) the names and info stored on phone should remain

Assuming you did not reformat phone check to make sure your accounts are all sync as maybe during port when data was not working it might have logged you out
