I just recently received a message saying my subscription got put on hold due to an unresolved payment issue. My confusion is my auto renewal already began a new cycle about a couple days ago.

If your services are working then ignore it. Obviously it was sent in error.

What @dust2dust said. If you can still make calls, text people, use data and still get those annoying calls from your mother in law, then just ignore the message as it was probably an error. You can always sign in to your account to confirm things if needed. Also, you may wish to check the expire date of your credit card to make sure it isn't close to expire date. That is another reason those are sent out.
