I'm planning to go on vacation to UNITED KINGDOM and I have Samsung Galaxy S9 phone. I have been advised that an app called 'Airalo' or 'Normad' is good with regard to esim. Has anyone of you used one of these apps on the Andrroid phone S9? Many thanks for answering.

@champa1 Or text now is another popular option . But also note PM won’t work in UK just Canada and the US with US roaming . Your best to just get a local pre paid data sim in your destination

Please note that the Samsung S9 is NOT eSIM compatible so it won’t work with eSIM.

I would recommend the TextNow app but you need to pick a 2nd number and connect to WiFi for it to work.

Or WhatsApp but both parties must have this app and it will register with your PM number. Also, it needs WiFi for it to work.

Those are travel esim providers, and your phone doesn't have esim. You can go buy a local sim card once you arrive though. I don't know who all the players are in the UK, but Orange stands out as a popular one.
