unlimited text and picture messaging issue?

My plan states "unlimited messaging plus unlimited international text and picture messaging" but I can only receive text messages but not able to reply to the text message, what's the issue here. I never had this problem before but only recently. I have an iphone 8 and has been with PM for over 8 years now.

Can someone help? I don't want to switch to another carrier if I can help it.

what error message you got?

and you sure you are sending SMS? or iMessage?

make sure your OS is updated and your Carrier profile is updated as well

A few things, @2ndchance :

Are you within Canada or in the US?
Are you able to place and receive calls
Are you using the phone's native SMS app or RCS ( iMessage)

Unlimited texting, unlimited international texting and MMS only work when you are in Canada.

If you are in the USA, you will receive the text and MMS but you can’t reply back unless you have purchased a US Roaming add-on.

You can use WhatsApp or TextNow to receive and reply to text & MMS when you are connected to WiFi.
