I’ve heard you can now log in and use points to get extra data for free but after researching I couldn’t figure out how to do it and needed some support.

Login to the My Account site and click Rewards on the side, it will bring you to the rewards site. Then go to Catalogue and browse there and pick what you want to redeem. You can either use points to redeem for add-ons, usually cheaper than buying, or you can redeem 15 points for $15 bill credit

Always better to wait until you have 15 points for a $15 credit off your bill unless you are on the $15 plan and you used up your call minutes or data or you need US Roaming or LD calling.
