Of course. Everybody has the right to move their number wherever they like as long as the provider will take it (can happen that they can't). It should be no problem with Telus. As long as you still have an account here whether active or suspended. If it had become deactivated then not depending on where the number originated from.

@Bavlee Like everyone below said, all you have to do is go into a Telus store or call Telus and they will do all the work of transferring your Public Mobile number to their service. And as they said below, just don't cancel your Public Mobile account until the port has 100% completely come through. Because it's being ported from Public Mobile to Telus (same company) you may still be required to have your Public Mobile SIM card in your phone to get the texts that asks you if you're porting your number. IF you have a second phone, put your Public Mobile SIM card into it so you can get that incoming text asking your permission. Then put the Telus SIM in the phone you want to use.

On a side note, depending on how long you've been with Public Mobile, you may wish to downgrade your account to the lowest level or price point to be able to keep all your discounts. Never hurts to have a back up phone. I have one with Telus and Public Mobile. I pay less than $10 a month for my 100 minutes w/ Unlimited incoming calls.

Remember, Ken Adams doesn't always give the ladies his real name or his real number. 🙂

Just leave the PM SIM in your phone and reply to the text confirming you are porting over to Telus.

Good thing Telus has full service so leave it all to staff to help you port over.
