I cannot receive text messages from one specific phone number.

I can receive phone calls from that number.

This is a public community forum and there are no PM staff here so remove your personal information and numbers or you will get a lot of spams.

Click on reverse V in circle top right and remove.

Did you check to see if the number is blocked on your phone?

@murmur53 this is an open forum, please remove the phone number for your own protection. Go back to your message, click the down arrow and select Edit Message to update the post

For the issue, is it just one particular number cannot text you? Can the person call you on that number? Did the person really send through SMS or via iMessage/RCS?

and did you just port in your number to PM?

The phone number is not blocked and I receive all other texts.

@murmur53 if they are a contact in your contact application, try removing them completely, then re-adding them. Add them with a 1 in front of the 10 digits. This is normally for outgoing texts, but if there is an iMessage link or something it may help.

Are you and this sender the same type of phones (apple or android), or different? It could be on their end that the issue lies.

Both iMessage and Chat Features (RCS Chats), require a wifi connection or data enabled to send/receive texts.

if iMessage and you (or them) are out of data for your current cycle be sure to have SMS and MMS enabled in the settings of your (their) device.
if you (or them) are using android and you (or them) use Chat Features (RCS Chats), then I suggest you (they) turn that off, as it requires wifi or data to send/receive texts.

Disable your Chat Features (RCS Chats):

Open Messages
Tap More options > Settings > Chat features
Turn Enable chat features off
