hi,

We have been with PUBLIC mobile for five years and have had absolutely no problems at all. However, for the last two weeks, we do not have a strong enough phone signal to use our mobile phones inside our house. We must go outside on the deck OK now but not so good for the winter.

Can someone help please?

Dennis

See if that helps and let us know.

I wonder if VOLTE helps , but it needs a more recent and main stream phone

3G signal is actually worse where I am, so in some areas telling others to switch to that may not help, it's recommend to stay on 5G preferred if your device supports it, and LTE preferred if it doesn't.

yes @XionBunny . And Mobile providers freeing up channels for 5G, 3G will be the the odd man out and will just get worse. Impact to Telus and Koodo would be less as they opened up most phones for VoLTE. For us, because it is a cheaper service, people tend to use older equipment and PM had less VoLTE compatible phones on the list, voice calls would just get worse, and harder for us to offer help 😞

Confirm in the phone status that it is showing 4G or LTE

Next, make calls, see if the signal indicator shows LTE or drop back to H or 3G. If it stays with LTE, then yes, you are using VoLTE
