rather than a reboot, I would recommend that you follow the 6 steps I posted earlier and clear the cache, especially relevant because the problems have started after the recent update.

You will not lose any personal data by doing this.. all your apps and data/files/pics/music will be untouched.

And yes, its interesting that they tried one antenna approach for the S6. Clearly, it must have worked fine during testing phase as well. You also confimed that it works most of the itme. But, when something goes wrong with dropped calls or when it takes longer than usual to connect, experts instantly blamed it on the single antenna being unable to handle the advanced call features.

did anyone notice connection issues, like dropped calls, connection glitch outs in strong zones, and txt takes a while to send now as well. It's been like a week for me now since that started. Anyone having same issues? Or is there some network maitnance happening now? Thx

Hi @Dia!

I am not experiencing any issues with network connection or sms delivery either.

Also, no known outages reported in the community by others. This could be a device specific problem. Which phone are you using? Have you received any updates on your phone recently? When was the last time you powered off your phone and/or rebooted the phone? These factors matter to the phone's functionality.

@Dia,

Dropped calls is a well-known issue with the S6. One fix that worked for many people is to turn off the Advanced Call Settings. From you phone dialer app, go to settings and disable it. Also, disable the VoLTE feature and then reboot. See if this helps.

For the S6, Samsung inexplicably used 1 antenna as opposed to 2 in other phones. This has caused some problems and they have been scrambling to fix this.

For the sluggish phone:

Clearing the cache partition of the smartphone will improve the Galaxy S6's performance.

1. Switch off the S6.

2. Press and hold the Power, Home and Volume buttons together until the smartphone vibrates.

3. When the Samsung logo appears, release the buttons.

4. Tap the Volume Down button and navigate to Wipe Cache Partition.

5. Select the same using the Power button. Next, select Yes.

6. Wait until the process is finished. Once the cache is cleared, reboot your phone.

Interesting point, haven't heard about it. I don't think it's s6 in general well at least for a whole year I had it on public mobile network without issues it's just after the recent update it started with the issues. I'll look into the volt settings that you mentioned. What do you mean by reboot, is it a factory reset?
