Hi,

I live in Ontario and I'm planning to travel next month to BC. Will my phone work there? If yes, do I have to purchase an add-on?

@HNR1 Yes, it should, as long as you have Canada wide plan, both data and voice would work when you are out of province

@HNR1 Yes it will work assuming you have Canada wide mins . All plans do now . So unless it was a province wide plan from a long time. Ago . I say you’re fine nothing to do . Just enjoy your trip

So you'll need a passport to enter the foreign regions beyond the outskirts of Toronto. And outside of Toronto uses a different currency so you'll need to exchange what you have. 🙂

Of course the service will work. Even with an older provincial plan. It will still let you call the province you're in. Data and text are nation-wide as is your likely Canada-wide plan. Canada goes from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean and to the Arctic Ocean.
