There is only one APN for regular data usage and tethering. For some android devices, it may be necessary to put dun into the APN type field.

Hi. At https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Phones-Hardware/APN-settings/m-p/30197#M4079 thread it was mentioned that PM subscribers need different settings for data transfers from smartphones and for Wi-Fi tethering.
@CS_Agentplease check and let know the final answer.
Are APN settings for tethering for Android different or same as usual settings for data connection from Android device?
I.e. does APN sp.mb.com work for both data from smartphone and for Wi-Fi tethering or do I need to change APN to isp.mb.com each time I'd like to start tethering, and vice versa?

Also, if I connect to internet via dial-up connection configured at my laptop using smartphone with PM SIM card as modem:

1. which number do I need to set up as number to dial to, login and password? I assume they are *99#, blank, blank?

2. Do I need to make any changes to smartphone settings, like adding ",dun" (with the comma, but without the quotation marks) to APN type, as mentioned at https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Phones-Hardware/APN-Settings-for-Tethering/m-p/1767/highlight/true#M225?

Thank you.

sp.mb.com works for regular data and tethering/hotspot.

Not sure why you need dial up connection on your laptop. Can't you just use wired USB tethering on the phone? It requires no changes.
