issue with contacting a number

when I call my son it will ring once or twice then drop off. He has to call me back and sometimes when he does his phone says my number is not in service. Other people my phone phases in and out not sure if related.

are you in a highrise concreted building ? Concrete and steel can degrade the call strength.

no, and doesn't happen with any other number.

Try setting your preferred network to 3G and reboot and see if that helps.
