Unknown numbers

I know how to block numbers etc and do so frequently. My voice mail is filling up because of calls identified as "Unknown Caller". I know who it is but they refuse to stop calling and leaving messages. These calls are not listed on the "Recent Calls" list nor do I get an option to add the number to my contact list. The option normally appears with other callers - but not this one. How can I put a stop to this. I am now reduced to letting my voice mail box fill up -that's the only way to block the messages.

@12347 If ya know who it is (personally ) .last resort you could file restraining order against them then they should stop .

Or change your number. Do you wish to get legit voicemails? There's an option in the voicemail system called Extended Absence greeting that then has an option to not allow recordings of messages. It just hangs up after it plays your greeting. But then you wouldn't get other voicemails. External voicemail systems might have better filtering methods. Maybe turn on the extended absence for a while and maybe they'll get bored and stop.

Are they harassing type voicemails? Stalking type? Maybe it's a police matter.

@12347 Other then blocking number , but you can’t because you don’t know it .. doesn’t seem like much else you can do . Hard to stop a random number from calling you

@12347 many phones have Silent Unknown Callers feature

iPhone

Go to Settings and scroll down to Phone. Scroll down to Silence Unknown Callers and select.

looks like my only solutions are to:

change my number (and hope the caller does not find it) or

let my voice mail fill up so effectively it is lost.

I'm not keen on either

@12347 unless the one calling you is targeted, I don't suggest you to change number to avoid random unknown caller. But again, if you think it was just one single person behind this, then, changing number could be a solution
