what kinda phone you using ?

added...if it's an iphone..go to Settings > Messages > scroll down to Send as SMS and toggle that ON.

@Miss_K you sure you are sending sms and not iMesaage or RCS?

if you are on Android, clear app cache and try again

If issue persists, try download Google Message and use that as the default message app and test

This may be improbable, @Miss_K , however are you currently in the USA?

There, PM customers can receive SMS (texts), however cannot sent them without a US Roaming add-on.
