Brand, How new, is it 5G Compatible?

@gbranscombe1963 , go into settings, Into your Network and look for preferred Network type

If it lacks 5G, then You may have a problem

At that point, You might have to Contact a PM CSA and inquire what can be done

Its a Samsung Galaxy S20 + 5g from the USA. I was living in Utah and I have had it for 2.5 years. I went to the US and used an Esimm and the 5G worked on that phone.

Yes I have used it in Florida with an Esimm and it does 5 G. The model of the phone is Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5g.

hi @gbranscombe1963 did you chexk coverage map to see if where you are now has 5G ?

for network mode

Slide two fingers downwards starting from the top of the screen.
Press Mobile networks.
Press Network mode.
Press the required network mode. There may be different network modes available depending on where you are.

The 5G Spectrum Frequency PM/ Telus is using, is it the same as what the US is using, or different?

PM needs to really lay out that info, as PM being a BYOD, Not all 5G Phones have the same 5G Spectrum Frequencies

Like I have stated my Network Mode says automatic and I can't change it because it is greyed out.

and BTW, what are theb5G bands here for PM network? we have the information for 3G and 4G, not 5G

Hi @gbranscombe1963 but where you are? you sure you have 5G where you are? Your network mode should not be greyed out
