US Roaming ADD ON Talk/Text

Will be traveling to Auburn, California and wondering if I purchase the Talk Text Add on, if it will work. I currently on 3G $25/month plan. Worried about the 3G network shutting down in the US.

Do you know if your phone is enabled for volte? Can your phone be manually set down to 2G/GSM?

Text should be fine. Talk has the above considerations.

What is the make and model? Apple I'm not entirely certain how to tell for sure. Android would be down in settings in the about and sim area.

If the settings menu is anything like my Samsung then for volte

settings, about phone, status information, sim card status - look for mention of IMS registered.

For finding and setting 2G/GSM

settings, connections, mobile networks - network mode - see which ones you have available

While you're looking around check for any updates in settings, software update, download and install

Yes and if you tap that a list should pop out? Is something about 2G/GSM in that list?

when i tap that, I still just see LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect) I don't see 2G/GSM..

My phone lists a choice for 3G/2G, 3G only, 2G only along with the same LTE/3G/2G which it's set on.

So no volte?

Well you have some 2G capability anyway. The phone would drop down to 2G when needed. But I found that in a different area that it would not drop down. I had to manually set it to 2G. So it would have been useful to see that as an option.

So again, how about volte?

And any updates. One of my phones took an update which opened up 5G and volte showed up.

Yes I know. Did you see anything saying IMS registered?

And if you saw that update date then just tap it to see if any more updates come in.

where can i see anything about IMS registered? I don't see it under mobile network...connections. Also nothing about more updates to come..

I had asked for you to go back to a previous reply to find the IMS thing elsewhere.

settings, about phone, status information, sim card status - look for mention of IMS and that it's registered.

And also, with wifi on

settings, software update and tap download and install

sorry, I'm not too tech savvy. ok.. did what you said and yes, IMS registered. Plus software is up to date.
