I recently joined Public M. I have the plan that includes international texting and I tried to msg Australia and I am told wrong number. It is not the wrong number as I messaged often when I was with Fido and no problems. Hope I did not make a mistake switching to Public. Looks like lots of glitches. Any suggestions?

did you enter the 011 61 area code telephone number.?

or +61 area code telephone number ?

Try sending a new text message with the contact's phone number entered manually.
