Hi,

I just found out today March 31st 2023, I can't dial mostly land lines without dialing 1 first. It was always area code 604 in Vancouver plus the phone number. Even a few days ago. However, when I call another cell it seems to have added the +1 in front of some numbers on my phone contacts, I don't remember adding it though. my question is .....do we have to add +1 in front of all numbers in B.C. now ? The + shouldn't be needed. The 1 seems to now be needed. Someone earlier mentioned needing the + for toll free but I haven't seen that corroborated.

There seems to be a glitch when PM switched to VoLTE so you will need to add 1 then the number until PM fix the issue.

Thank you, as I have done this to all my frequently call numbers and the rest I'll wait till it is fixed. So far so good.

Unfortunately, adding 1 before all my frequent numbers is not too difficult however when I called Royal Bank 1-800 number I could not still even with the 1 dialed first.. It was quite urgent so had to use SKYPE to call by topping my money into SKYPE. I cannot say I'm impress with PM for the supposedly upgrade to VOLTE ! Not happy yet !

Quick workaround, unlick Skype, it is free. Download VoIP app TextNow and you can make free calls that way
