All of a sudden my phone won't let me make local calls without putting a 1 in front of the area code, I never had this issue before, any ideas?

@Marilena I too have to put a 1 in front of the contact to make local calls this is normal same as with texts and you won’t be charged long distance for it so no worries there just put a 1 in front of all contacts

While using a 1 to make call is optional, it is nothing wrong to add it to any 10 digits number. If the calls is local, adding 1 does not mean it will got charged extra. And with your Canada wide calling, all calls local and to other provinces won't caused you extra anyway.

And there was another post about this behavior earlier too (need to add a 1 for all Canadian calls). It could be that PM is changing this with the VoLTE enablement. So, start adding the 1 when manual dialing and save the phone number with the 1 in front of it
