My phone says to contact public mobile to activate hotspot on my device. How do I do this?

usually you go to the Hotspot pain your device to enable and setup

you might need to update the APN if it does not work

give us more details what you behave tried

in the phone settings is where you'll find to enable Hotspot...then it'll provide a password to use on any device using your data via hotspot.

@peterlagrand - how is your phone telling you to contact Public Mobile for hotspotting?

Do you see something like this in your phone, can you go to:

Settings
Connections
Mobile hotspot and tethering
Turn on Hotspot (you'll need to turn on your DATA and turn off your wifi settings)

Do you have data left on your account? Go to My Account and check or call 611 to check your data balance.

You wouldn't contact Public Mobile about this. It's a phone issue. Hotspot is alredy activated for everyone.

Hello,

I had same problem, go to Cellular> Cellular Data Options> and turn off "Limit IP Address Tracking"

@horsfieldkenny this is an iPhone setting. So, you did that on the device connected to the hotspot and NOT the device that has hotspot setup, right?
