35/month plan - curious wording - forcing me to points?

I'm on the old 32/month + rewards plan

I'm looking at the 35/month because it is 4G vs 3G .

Concerned about the line where it says 3x points - Is it forcing you to points on this plan?.

This is the only plan that mentions points

No need to worry. If you change plans, you will not be changed to the new points system.

The 3x points promo is only for new plan activations (not switches)

Only you can join the points program in your rewards account. (DON'T!!) The plans points messaging completely ignores the customers on the old rewards program and causes unnecessary confusion.

honestly, the only advantage to the points plan I've noticed is the generally lower cost of addons using them, otherwise, it's not the worst points system I've seen, but probably on par with shopper's optimum for the most part value wise, there just isn't much to use them on though in general, they don't force anyone here to switch ever if your legacy.

Thanks all. Everyone added to the complete answer so it is hard to choose just one post. I suspect they are happy to imply only "points" can exist going forward.
