Hello everyone,

I live in Canada but will be leaving for US on February 28th for a 3 weeks period. I'm in need to purchase one or more add-ons for TALK ONLY in US for my full 3 weeks trip. How do I go about? I see the add-ons available to purchase is only for 10 days...do I have to purchase 3 of the same add-ons? And will the days be counted back-to-back? When should I purchase these add-ons if I want to make sure my phone will work in US as of February 28?

Make the purchase right before you leave for the US. You will have to wait 24 hours after the first add on is done before purchasing it again. Use the search bar to read up on travelling in the US and making sure you are connecting to a US network.

@Mel3 Roomg Talk could be tricky to connect as it relies on T-MOBILE 's 2G network.

Since you go there for 3 weeks, I think it worths to check out Local prepaid data sim and then use VoIP app like TextNow to make calls instead. More reliable and probably cheaper

Thanks for your reply...really appreciated. So if I purchase the add-on the day before leaving, the phone line will automatically be working when entering US? Would you know...can I purchase the same add on 3 times (for a total of 30 days) at the same time?

@Mel3 add-on are now 15 days long, increased from 10 days . You have to let the first add-on expired, then wait 24 hours before you re-buy the same add-on a second time

Again, it could be tricky to connect to TMobile 2G network for Talk to work

also @Mel3 if you want the same US add on on day 15 with out waiting for the 12-24 hour time lapse you can always contact support and they can apply it for you on the 15 day once’s it runs out if you need too
