nope...just low cost cell service with talk, text and some data. No home internet.

No more data only plan. But you could take a phone plan with data and run data from a ZTE box MF279T. Like wifi. Any SIM with data will work. Just depends on cost of data. Boxes may be carrier locked though.

You need to contact one of the Big 3 for internet service.

Bell and Telus does offer remote internet access using a SIM on a ZTE box. Can be location dependent for the plan. Depends on location of OP. But can be used any where. I have a ZTE box to run my land line. Will move up to a M279T in advance of PM going to 4G. It will allow phone calls and data. But have no plan to use the data part of it.
