Located in Odessa Ontario, cell service has diminished

About three weeks ago phone service from house in Odessa totally shut down. Used to be able to make and receive phone calls, now we cannot do either. Is something interfering with the signal? We tried changing to 3g but it did not help.

Telus and Bell have been running around the country fiddling with their hardware. Does cell data and SMS texting (not imessage) work? I'm sure you've done several restarts since? Do you know if friends with other providers are having a problem?

Try reseat the sim card once (power down, take sim out for a min, then put it back and power up)

you have a chance to try in another area?

But yes, could been network issue in the area. Reboot your phone every hour for update

did you try stand right outside the house and check if calls working? If it work, then weak signal + house further blocked the signal

you opened ticket with PM and ask them to check??

it's a long shot....try your sim in a different phone. See if there's any improvement.

Check these sites for outage.

If nothing there, most likely cell tower(s) are in bad shape.

Good to know, cell towers are being fiddled with. We primarily use signal for messaging, so it works fine. Unfortunately we do not know the neighbours very well, but 5 of us, all Public Mobile clients cannot make calls

Yes, I would be submitting a ticket with support and asking about this. Let us know what they say.
