No voice message indicator

Hi Moderator,

I has joined Public Mobile for a month. There is no voice message indicator (either text message or phone) when someone leaves a telephone message to me. It is annoying as I have to check everyday to make sure I do not miss messages. Please check.

It is your phone's feature. What phone do you have?

You need to turn on the phone app notification.

Let us know what make and model of your phone so we can give you steps to enable the settings.

Go to Settings>Phone>Notifications>enable Allow Notifications>enable Badges.

You can also enable Banners to pop up on your screen and sound when a call comes in.

Do this first before updating to iOS 16.3.

@maggieslchau Nothing to do with IOS. ~~It’s the same with an IPhone 6~~. And you can read this problem on internet with different phones and companies. Public Mobile is aware of this problem but no solution yet.

Edit. I tried in different ways with my IPhone 6S and the dot on voicemail appeared.🤷‍♀️ And put my Sim back in my IPhone 12 and nothing on my voicemail application. So maybe it’s something around the latest IOS. The same problem is mentioned on internet since few years.

You're not alone, every few weeks someone pops up with this question.

The indicator has worked intermittently and partially at best for me the years I've been with Public. Support was unable to resolve it after going through all the configurations. I just live with it.

it probably has something to do with the visual voicemail being baked in to apple and not being able to disable it ..

I have an iPhone XR and have no issues. Check YouTube for your phone model. It may be your settings.
