why does my plan say its on the 4G network but my cell says I am only getting 3G?

Check your phone settings to be sure you're connections include LTE/4G. Maybe also you're in a poor 4G area.

@Cyberman Yes if you have 4G service but it can change depending on area coverage and environmental areas ie grocery store
