Try manual to connect to T-Mobile. Since US shut down 3G last year, so voice service is pretty tricky, sometimes doesn't work. Try using TEXTNow app, TextNow uses data or WIFI, you will get Canadian phone number, you can make a call or text.

@Mariemcgoo where you are? which city and state?

can your phone connected to T-Mobile? if not, try to manually connect and see if it works

once connected, you can try to make a calls first

if still fails, try to change the Preferred network to 2G and see if calls work

Also, try in different area. voice is running on T-Mobile 2G and the network could be hit or miss

It is on T-Mobile and I’ve restarted the phone but still can’t make the call

Did you follow the steps when purchasing the US add on?

Did you make sure you had funds added to cover the cost?

Where in the US are you?

Which add on did you purchase?

What exact make and model is the phone? And is this a re-buy or the first time of buying roaming? It's all roaming by the way. But for data you need to turn on roaming data.

I ask about the phone because we're learning that some devices don't have the ability to drop down to the 2G required for talk on T-Mobile.

And of course you're dialing with the 1 in front.

@Mariemcgoo reception in Florida is sort of mixed.

But you should at least at text working. Text only needs T-Mobiles 2G 4G (thanks @dust2dust ) and should be easier to connect
