unable to call local number

Hi,

I am trying to call another local number in Toronto with provider chattr but keep getting error saying I need long distance plan to call this number, please help.

2 questions:

What talk plan do you have? At least province wide talk?

If you have province wide talk, are you located in Ontario?

You have to be on Canada-Wide talk or have a long distance add-on to call someone outside of your province.

Since you're saying local number, i assume you are in the same province. In that case, can you call any other number?

Yes I am in ontario and the number I am trying to call is also in same location, actually it is number I was using myself and now with my family member in same location. But, I cant call that number from my public mobile. I have unlimited province wide plan.

This is really bad, I am unable to make call to my spouse who is carrying chattr local number. Can someone from public mobile look into this asap.

hi @madhurk6

in fact i faced the problem other way around.

one of my family member in on chatr and when i tried calling my PM no. after porting i could not do so from chatr.

But the usual process of switching off and waiting for the porting confirmation message from PM worked.

Hoping your problem gets solved.

But after reading your post I do feel there are some compatbility issues between chatr and PM.

PM should look into it.

Still having issue after almost a week. Not at all a good experience for a new connection given I have been told its a known issue in the system of PM.
