Need new phone number with specific area code

Hi, I moved and need to change my phone number. The only problem is I need a specific area code due to the specs of the old buzzer system at my building (604 or 778 will work) and the only ones available from Public are 672 and 236. Any recommendations?

You can change to any (available) area code/number through your PM account no matter where do you live.

For 604 area code , try SECHELT. It still has 604 numbers.

@rophono You could try asking customer support via chatbot if they can help you get a 604 area code but otherwise try Sechelt which usually has quite a few 604 numbers available. Sometimes refreshing the available numbers list (many times) might get you a 604 which used to be more common from Aldergrove or Chilliwack but less so now.

Dig deeper into the specs of that buzzer system. Can it make "long distance" calls? But you should be able to find 604 or 778 numbers in other areas of the Lower Mainland. It's now a local call from Aldergrove to Sechelt and the border to Port Mellon.
