Hi, I am looking for a particular phone number I used to have it. Can anyone help me in that because I try when I have the new SIM card but doesn’t found it.

@Dan236 a particular number but you did not own? Honest it might not be possible. Provider never willing to let customer to just pick the number you like

Also, there is an issue with which provider actually own the number. e.g, If it is owned by Rogers or Bell, PM cannot assign you the number. PM can only assign numbers owned by Telus/Koodo/PM Can you give us the area code and the first 3 digits, we can help you to check which provider owns it

if not PM number, you need porting; if PM number, just login self-account and select change sim.

The "change sim" option would only be applicable if the OP is an existing customer and needed a new SIM card linked to the account due to a lost or stolen or malfunctioning SIM card.

If the OP is a new customer going through activation, the change SIM function doesn't apply.

If belongs to another carrier you will have to get a plan with other carrier and get the number and then port to PM.

What happens if you dial it right now...?

if you want old number back, do porting or login original account to change sim; for new user, just select new number during activation. you may not find some area code on list, such as 416, 519......

If there's some particular number pattern you're after in a particular area code, you can also check https://www.numberbarn.com/ - if you purchase a number from there you can then port it into Public Mobile.

Before purchasing, you can check that the number is portable into public mobile by entering it into the following checker - this checker is the same for Telus Mobility, Koodo, and Public Mobile:

@Dan236 236-979-xxxx belongs to Telus /PM There is a chance you can get it. If you can show PM support you had it before and lost it not long ago, there is a chance you can get it back. But it really YMMV

you can open ticket with PM and discuss with them. You are not PM customer at the moment? pls open ticket by direct message
