If I add on US roaming , will I be able to use data ? Or is it just talk and text ?

Choose the $20 doller add on and you can do all 3 talk /text/data

I guess what I meant was , my Canadian data - if i added roaming , would I have access to that. The answer looks like no.

Sorry, you Canadian data plan will only work while in Canada.

You need to purchase the Roaming options your need (data, talk or text).

The fee is to cover the cost for use T-Mobile cell towers.

Here are the fees:

Your other options is to use WhatsApp (other party must have WhatsApp to work) or TextNow app through wifi for free calling or texting.
