I get international long-distance bonus minutes one-time add-on by SMS, I try to call Iran but it does not work and i keep getting a message "public Mobile"

Could you please check my line to see if there is an issue?

Iran is not in international minutes list, that's way you can't make a call to Iran using international minutes.

Long distance calling from Canada to these countries only work:

Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Venezuela

Dial 011 98 and then the rest of the phone number as that's what worked for me today but you may need to at least have the holiday 500 min international calling add on in your account for it to work.

98 is area code for Iran and this country is not is list for international bonus add on.

I did dail 011 98 XXX XXXX but did not work and i looked at the list of the international calling by Public Mobile, Iran is not in the list.

on the main page, there is a Add-on Usage section, do you see a Long distance addon there?

if it is there, there is a chance that you can call Iran for free. It is not on the official country list but some people tested and it works

But if you have it and still cannot call Iran, sorry, it is what it is. The free Iran calling could be just a glitch

I just tried again and the call does not go thru....so it appears it was a lucky glitch that day. It doesn't mean you can't try at random and maybe luck out like I did? Otherwise use an online reseller of long distance minutes or a calling card. Here's a couple you can consider....
