@CindyMtP , are you referring to your lock screen password? Check out the following link on how to reset it.

If it is the self serve password that you are having issues with you can simply use the reset password feature from the login page.

Doesn’t the LG G8X ThinQ have a fingerprint sensor to unlock the phone screen?

I suspect that LG would do the same as some other manufacturers when it comes to fingerprint unlocking being disable any time the phone has been restarted.

Good point, on my Samsung phone. I enable fingerprint, pattern and face recognition but disable Irises.

So if one fails, I can use the other security option to unlock my screen or phone.
