How long does it take for Cha-ching text message to arrive?

My friend just used my referral code to activate her account 40 minutes ago. However, I still have not received the Cha-ching message from PM by now. I wonder how long does it usually take for the text message to arrive? Shouldn't it be right away upon activation?

@SallyHao as long as your friend type in the correct referral code, you will be get the Cha-ching msg by the end of tml.

I got a referral at 3am today....no Cha-Ching yet. In past has been hit and miss. Check for the number in My Rewards, referrals. It gets there instantaneously.

I don't think there is such a section called "referrals" in My Rewards. Is it also in the point system?

Oooooops. Sorry I forgot. I guess you only see a $ figure.

$ rewards has a referral that shows $s and each phone number. Ie xxx-xxx-1234

I got my Cha-Ching text from PM for referring my sister the next day.

Your referral will also get a Welcome to PM email.

Since you are on the points program you should make your own list of your referrals. Make a note of the day they activated and if possible their phone number. To the best of my knowledge you will recieve the Cha-ching text the following day at 2pm eastern if the activation occurs between midnight (AM)>>24 hrs>>(PM) midnight. In @CountyDownIeUk 's case they won't recieve the cha-ching text until the following day approximately 35 hours later (or 31 hours later if it was 3am pacific). Sadly pm has done a very poor job in allowing points rewards customers to track their referrals instead they expect them to rely on pure trust of pm.

You wouldn't get the rewards if your friend had system glitch during activation. However you may submit ticket for it.

Sometimes I got delay on SMS for couple hours. It might be the coverage issue in the area. Contact CSA for rewards.

Just received 32 hours after the activation ..... give or take an hour.
