plan renewed 120 days on nov 2 - msg says im making long distance ????!

im trying to make local calls its saying im making long distance?

reset my phone didnt work

It’s speculation there’s an outage. No estimated time to repair as no one knows how to get in touch with PM technical. Check back often and check your phone’s outgoing calls regularly.

I'm having the same issues on one of my Public Mobile phones. It keeps telling me that I'm calling long distance, but I'm not. My plan renewal is not for another 2 days, not that this should make a difference.

Incoming calls, text, and data all seem to work fine.

I think @thapager is right; it's probably an outage for some numbers,

I'm having the exact same issue. My phone will receive province-wide calls, however if I attempt to make an outbound call within Ontario, I get a message saying that it's long distance...

Hopefully this can be rectified sooner than later...

Post your area code and exchange in the trending post and see if we can figure this out while we wait...

I am having the exact same issue on both my PM phones for local phones

Text ok, data ok but no local phone calls

My phone area codes are 416 & 647.

This is a really serious issue…..I use my phone for work on occasion

One of my lines is having same issue. I am in Markham, and am not affected. However my other line currently in Stouffville is having the same issues as described above. Text SMS and data works still.

@krystam, thanks for letting me know. I am waiting to hear back from my wife to see if the issue had been resolved. But seems like in other threads, others have been able to confirm that the problem is resolved.
