It comes with 250 mb or 500 mb or 1 GB of data and doesn't use existing data from your regular plan. Sorry

@emaceachern Roaming data are used when you are in US using US network. The full amount will be used for roaming. If you didn't use them all, it will expired in 10 days and it won't put back into your "regular" data usage

Similarly, your regular data won't be used when you are in US using US network. Only the roaming data you bought will be used when you are in US

@emaceachern For your information, there are different amount of data you can buy, not just 250Mb. So, you can buy more depending on your needs

The US add-ons are fully separate from your normal plan. Data and minutes are counted separately than your normal Canadian counts. You can choose your add-on according to your needs for your trip.
