Strange Data Usage Occuring at around 12:28 am over the course of the last few days

Hi,
I received a notification stating that I had reached 95% of my data limit. I checked my account and noticed that there is a strange data usage happening at around 12:24 to 12:28 am.

Oct 15 33.35 MB at 12:28 am

Oct 16 126.62 MB at 12:24 am

Oct 17 2.44 MB at 12:28 am

Oct 19 35.19 MB at 12:28 am

I am usually asleep at this time and am not using my phone. Can someone telling what is going on?

Those timestamps are accumulative usage from the last timestamp. They're not actual times of use.

Click on the little spinner refresh icons lower down to see any updated data. The amounts you've listed come to about 80% of the 250mb $15 plan if that's what you have. But you'd need to start from your last renewal and all data items.

In the usage history data is reported for the preceding 12 or 24 hour block.

The sms notifications can also be hit and miss.

For me, the best bet for most up-to-date usage is logging in incognito window and click on the spinning arrow under the usage circles.

I went back 1 month in my account usage logs and discovered that this has been occurring regularly on a daily basis for the last month. I noticed that there are certain days that log a higher data consumption than others but it is always occurring at the same time. I hadn't looked at my account prior ans so I am just noticing this now. This is strange!

In my experience this approach to data usage reporting is not unique nor exclusive to Public Mobile.

The data usage for the preceding 12-hour period adds and posts in 12-hour increments. (twice daily)

That’s why they display when they do.

For the time that was shown, which time zone is that? I haven't really paid attention PM's account info but some cell providers list those time of usage in UTC.

It's eastern time, but as stated earlier, the usage details for data arent' time-accurate. The data gets added in lump sums in the report.
