Keeping plan but not using sim

I am going overseas for 5 months and want to keep my plan and number.

I will continue paying the plan cost but the sim card will not be in my phone, as I will have a local sim for the county I am travelling to.

If I keep paying for my plan but the sim is not actually in my phone will I be able to keep my plan and number?

SIM does not have to be in your phone in order to keep account/plan as long as you pay the bill.

You have an option to lower your plan to $15, remove autopay and remember to log in on 85th day (but Before 90th day) and pay for next month.

@seh no problem with that.

Just make sure during these 5 months, login to My Account at least twice to confirm Autopay going through and account still active

If you want to save a bit of money, you can also:

1. lower your plan to $15 so it renews with a cheaper plan

2. some ppl will not mind the extra effort.. suspend tulle account on next renewal, come back around 85th days and reactivate for a month and let it expire after the 30 days again. But this is a bit of work and you have to make sure you remember

Great to know that taking my sim out of my phone will not affect my ability to keep my plan and number!
