There are no data overage charges at PM. Once your data is used up for the cycle you will have to wait until next cycle to use data again unless you buy a data add on.

I signed up for the $15 monthly plan recently, I am wondering if my credit card would be charged automatically every month, and would I be charged extra for overused data without my acknowledgment?

No extra charges. You opt in to letting the credit card be charged. It's automatic at sign up though.

As note by everybody, if you are on AutoPay, it will withdraw from your CC. Once you used up your data, you won't be able to use any data and can only connect to home wifi or free wifi.
