I just switched from Bell to Public Mobile. Before I put in my new SIM card, I texted YES to transfer my number to PM. After I set everything up, and PM said my registration was successful, I put in my new SIM card. I am able to make outgoing calls and texts as well as receive texts, but I am unable to receive calls. Does anybody know what is going on?

I will message you the number. Check your Community inbox, envelope icon on top right

When you call, what number other see? Most likely porting was properly done. When porting, you get assigned temp number from PM so you can make calls, send SMS but incoming will go to the old number.

Call number provided by @softech and let them figure out what went wrong and fix it.

Welcome aboard!

Does your Bell sim still work? Can you still access the old account? If I remember right, leaving the Bell sim in will get you a text saying it's done and to insert the new Public sim. Then you should be good to go.

@thai1 - did you happen to contact Bell after you texted YES and cancel your account? Because you need to leave your Bell account active in order for the port to be successful. A successful port should automatically cancel your previous provider's account.

Try rebooting every once in a while, maybe there is just an odd delay for some reason.

If still issues, you may also submit a ticket with Public Mobile representatives (CSA) for help; click this link for issues with transfer/porting of phone numbers over to Public Mobile.
