    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;my son lost his SIM card (after traveling in USA)&lt;BR /&gt;and we would liek to transfer his # to another provider&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I believe the number transfer process requires he responds to transfer SMS on his old Public Mobile account&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;is there a way to acknowledge the transfer without having the SIM car inserted in the phone and being connected to Publc mobile network ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;perhaps a screen in his Public Mobile Web Account ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;many thanks&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;PS. ... kids ...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/167139"&gt;@cell1AToravsky&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Sorry, you cannot.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; A text is needed to approve the porting.&amp;nbsp; The only exception to this rule is that if you are porting to Koodo or Telus (as they are one big Telus family &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"&gt;🙂&lt;/span&gt;&amp;nbsp; )&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So, if you are porting to other providers, please get a sim card from your local Telus or Koodo store (around $10) and request Change SIM card on My Account.&amp;nbsp; Once the new sim is tied to the account, you can then request porting again&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
