You can take the SIM card and insert it into your new phone. It will work.

Public mobile does not do trade ins. While Samsung does they do not offer anything for your device as it's to old....for them. If it's in very good condition you may get up to $100 on Craigslist but $60 to $75 is more realistic. You would be better off keeping it as a back up device and purchasing a CPO S10.
