Going to purchase a new cellphone,do I need to get a new SIM card,or can I switch the one from my old phone to the new cellphone.

@Kippeddy66 - if you have an existing public mobile account, you can just remove the sim in your old phone and insert it into the new phone.

sims are 3-in-1's so adapters can be added or removed as needed:

The sim card has your plan/account/phone number so it will follow whatever phone you put it in.

All your account information is linked in your old SIM card. Just swap the SIM from the old phone to the new one.

You might have to remove or a spacer if the old SIM doesn’t fit as shown as per @esjliv picture.

No need for new SIM unless new phone uses different SIM size and you have no adapters for current SIM.
