I just purchased an add on, will it start right now or only when I press roaming? How dors it work, its a US roaming add on…

For data you need to turn on roaming. It starts right away and lasts for exactly 240 hours. Using the talk in the states is very problematic these days. If your phone can use the old 2G and you connect to T-Mobile and you're in a coverage area of that then talk should work. Some areas can still work on 3G but that's spotty. Data and text should work as normal.
