The LG G4 has a network reset option that resets network settings only and not the entire phone. Factory reset should be a last resort alternative.

Anyway, I helped a friend setup this service on a LG G4. I didn't have to do any resets. Just entered the APN settings and that was it.

Hey there!

I cannot get data to work on my LG G4. I've tried doing the APN setup that has been recommended in serveral other discussions, but there has been no change. I've even made sure to reboot the phone after changing those settings.

If anyone can spot something I'm missing, or suggest alternative solutions, I'd be very grateful.

@Emerald, has your data ever worked? Are you new to PM, and if you are did you come from Freedom? I have read that users from Freedom sometimes have to do a factory reset on their phone to get data working on their phone now that they are with PM

I activated the plan yesterday, and I was coming from Telus. Text and phone calls are working fine, just data that's proving difficult.

If nothing else works, I could try a factory reset, but I'd really rather not have to go through setting up all of my apps and files again. So I'm going to hold off on that for now.

Hi,

Have you checked the network settings and tried with wcdma only, auto, or Lte/wcdma as the network type?

I would suggest doing a factory reset if it doesn't work. But before that make sure your phone is updated to the latest anroid software. Try taking out the sim card possibly or switching your lte data to 3g network.

I've been experiencing flakey data all day in the Southern Ontario area, 30 minutes west of Hamilton.

My work place recently installed a LTE signal repeater which has helped greatly, but even LTE hasn't been working today.

I was outside for my lunch, and 3G wasn't all that great either.

I've not had data problems previously, except for the experience about a month ago when a large number of users were experiencing thethering issues.

Definitely a known issue for LG G-series phones when changing carriers. @Emerald try the network reset first, and if that doesn't work, factory reset unfortunately.

Tagging @imm1304 for his expertise with the G series....
