i have changed all the apn settings to the ones i found in this community and i still can't get my pictures to download in text. i have a blackview a80 plus phone. what else could i do?

Do you mean MMS does not work?

Your DATA has to be On even though MMS will not use it. Set DATA to On and try again. Same as for sending.

You may need to reset your APN setting on your phone. You can find out how to do that here https://apn.global/ca/public-apn/

I have found occasionally when the phone updates it reverts back to default APN. I was having issues and this was the case.

And this is first time MMS is not working as expected. You did send/receive pictures before?

It could be some outage at PM?

it's a new phone. i did receive some pictures from a friend that downloaded no problem while others from her and a different contact cannot download

Now that I found the correct thread.....I can't remember why I thought knowing your phone's compatibility was important?🤔

@chantau try Reset network settings -

Firstly, open apps menu and get into Settings,
Secondly, pick Backup and reset,
Afterward, choose Reset network settings,
In the final part, confirm it by the Reset Settings button,
If applicable, enter your PIN or pattern, then tap Reset Settings to confirm the whole process.
Reset Network Settings has been successfully accomplished.

Also, check if you have RCS enabled or Chat Features on your device turned on, try turning those features off. They require a wifi connection or data to work.
