and turn off your apps background

@Jones2 Thats at midnight. Depending on what phone you have, there are some background services like iCloud. iMessage or WhatsApp that use data for several reasons.

that is what i thought,

in settings my background app refresh is turned off for all, do not have whats app

i will try and keep any eye on this

my apps background is off for all,

also at that time (midnight) i would be connected to wifi and should not need to use data

yeah your right but i think in system some issue going on right now, very soon will them fix it.

@Jones2 How much data did it use? If it's a very small amount ( >10mb), I wouldn't worry about it. iPhones force use background services to ensure connectivity with all their services.
Try turning on Airplane mode for a min and turn it back off. You will see a few MB of data available to use in Self-Serve.

3 dates stand out in July data used 35.64mb/ 42.53mb/ 52.36mb all while sleeping and on wifi

@Jones2 Some phones like iPhones auto shut down WiFi to save battery when they have been locked for few hours. So that is also the possibility. Next time that happens, check the data usage right away in your phone settings to see which app used data.
