Sorry about jumping on the mms thread I misread it, I'm having problems with SMS I used to be able to send and receive text and pictures now I can only do text, what's happening

@Willaug56 'ou used to be able to receive and send picture, but was it on another phone? or you have the same phone?

did you have Mobile Data enabled?

If you have already enabled Mobile Data, try again sending a smaller picture

If still fails, you can try to Reset Network settings and see if it helps (Please note resetting the network setting, your saved Wifi connections will be gone too and you have to rejoin those Wifi networks)

If iphone using imessage then have you checked that mms is on? If iphone can you send pictures to other idevices?

Can you send SMS? Can you receive SMS?

Can you send MMS? Can you receive MMS?

Can you screenshot the current APN settings?

and again, your mobile data, voice are both working? SMS is working and just not MMS (Pictures)?

If you can "do text" , that's SMS. So, is SMS working?

I'm getting confused now, I used to send a text with a picture to go along next comment, as a example I would send a picture of our house with a comment right after now the picture doesn't go through

was that a problem only when sending picture to one particular person?

try to send to 2 or 3 different persons and see if they receive the picture

Then that's MMS. MMS needs to have mobile data on to send and recieve. Go into your APN settings and check the APN type line. It should have ,mms in it.

So I sent it to another Android phone and it worked so it might be my sister inlaw problem as she is a apple user and she has no problem sending to other Apple users

Yes the special Apple world. 🙂 She needs to turn on MMS in her imessage. She can send instant messages and pictures all day long on wifi or cell data. But that's not SMS/MMS.
